Please Note: NCDOT has begun widening work on U.S. 321 in Caldwell County, south of Blowing Rock. Regular road closures are scheduled. During Road closings, NCDOT recommends the following detour for visiting Blowing Rock:

• Take N.C. 18 from Lenoir to U.S. 421 in Wilkesboro.
• Follow U.S. 421 north to U.S. 321 in Boone.
• U.S. 321 south leads to Blowing Rock.
