-The Speckled Trout Restaurant & Bottle Shop will present a three course Valentine’s Day Dinner with live music. The delicious menu has three entree options and four choices for dessert. Diners will also enjoy live music by the Lucky Strikes, a popular local jazz band. -Green Park Inn offers a special Valentine meal each night from Thursday, February 14 to Saturday, February 16. On those nights, dinner reservations can be enhanced with romantic add-ons: roses, wine, chocolate truffles, or any combination of the three. The additions can also be included in a room reservation for anyone that wants to enjoy the special romantic ambiance of the Green Park Inn overnight. -In neighboring Boone, Appalachian Mountain Brewery will host a Brushes and Brews for Breast Cancer on Valentine’s Day. You can enjoy a beer and design your own LOVE painting. -Also in Boone, the Hayes School of Music presents “An Evening of Valentine Jazz” featuring Todd Wright & Friends and Special Guest, Alex Taub, piano. The recital is scheduled for Thursday, February 14, at 8 pm in the Rosen Concert Hall. The recital is free and open to the public.
Valentine’s Day Weekend Events
-Blowing Rock Parks & Recreation presents their Sweetheart Soiree on Saturday, February 16th. The senior community in Blowing Rock is invited to enjoy a whimsical afternoon of live music, dancing and hors d’oeuvres provided free of charge. -Appalachian Ski Mountain has a lineup of Presidents’ Day Family Weekend events, and there are lots of opportunities to celebrate with your significant other. You can enjoy live music every weekend in Blowing Rock as well! Twigs Restaurant features live bands on Fridays and Saturdays. Chetola Resort hosts a lakeside bonfire with live music each Friday and Saturday, and you can even enjoy s’mores! Charlie Ellis plays the piano at Green Park Inn on Fridays and Saturdays. Town Tavern welcomes live performers each Friday night; if you’re feeling up to a serenade for your date, try out Karaoke night on Saturday. And Woodlands BBQ hosts live entertainers every single evening.
