It is always a good time to learn a new skill, but what better time than the new year? There is an array of new skills to be acquired in Blowing Rock. Bonus, they all get you closer to nature. Start by taking a hike. It’s free and only requires a little bit of planning. If you’re already an avid hiker, try horseback riding, white water rafting, or fishing.
Prioritize health over wealth.
Get out, get active, and have that experience. Acquiring things is fine but acquiring experiences is priceless. Hike up on Grandfather Mountain or the Blue Ridge Parkway to get active and see amazing views. Canoe or kayak at the iconic Price Lake and take in the scenery from the water.
