Join App State’s Sue Polanka for an inspired event that pairs a discussion of the “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” by Kim Michele Richardson with Appalachian moonshine.
The book illuminates the story of the ‘packhorse librarians’ in Eastern Kentucky in the 1930s/40s. Polanka joined App State as the dean of University Libraries in fall 2021 with more than three decades of experience as a librarian at public, state, and academic libraries.
