Chef’s Night Thursdays at Storie St Grille

Support local non-profits and enjoy special menus at Chef's Night! Each Thursday at Storie Street Grille, sales from the Chef's Night menu will support a selected monthly non-profit. April's menu is "Tacos, Tacos, Tacos" and a portion of sales will go to W.A.M.Y Community Action to help send kids to summer camp! W.A.M.Y. (an acronym for mountain counties: Watauga, Avery, Mitchell, and Yancy) seeks to break the cycle of poverty by partnering with families and communities to provide the disadvantaged the support and tools they need to become self-sufficient. Mining for a Purpose Fundraiser

Doc's Rocks Gem Mine 111 Mystery Hill Lane, Blowing Rock, NC

100% of money Raised goes directly to cancer patients via the Cancer Patient Emergency Fund at Seby B. Jones Cancer Center in Boone. The money helps the patients with what they need while in treatment so they can focus on getting better, not on financial issues. No Administration fees, no advertising fees- fundraising as it should be! Over $22,000 raised in 2019. Stay tuned for more info! Website

High Country Breast Cancer Foundation 5k Walk/Run

This year's event is back in person! Walk your 5K October 22nd and tag HCBCF in your pictures on social media! Registration is $20 and every bit goes to helping those in need who have been affected by breast cancer right here in the High Country! Registration includes a t-shirt. To receive a shirt by the 22nd make sure to register by September 30th! Website

Storie Street Grille will be offering their Chef's Night on Thursday nights in March. They will be serving up Tapas and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit F.A.R.M. Cafe in Boone.
