DESCRIPTION:Hatch Show Print is a letterpress poster and design shop located in Nashville\, Tennessee. Founded in 1879\, HSP is still designing and printing over 700 jobs a year\, using the original wood type found on countless posters advertising live music\, carnivals\, circuses\, and vaudeville and minstrel shows of years gone by\, combined with hand carved imagery that spans the history of the shop. Langille is known for her prowess on her instruments\, her powerful song writing\, and her singing voice. She currently performs with the Vermont based band Gypsy Reel. Langille maintains a musical connection with the traditional music of the maritime provinces of Canada\, especially Nova Scotia\, home of her father. \nFiddlin’ Al McCanless is known as one of the most versatile fiddler players in the North Carolina music scene\, adept at old-time\, bluegrass\, and Irish music. A founding member of the New Deal String Band\, McCanless often plays with friend and vocalist Leroy Savage. McCanless spent years as the fiddle player for the Bluegrass Experience\, which won the World Championship Bluegrass prize at the Union Grove Old Time Fiddlers Convention in 1972. MCanless has recorded with The Red Clay Ramblers\, Celtic Jam\, Contentment Is Wealth\, Mike Cross\, and Alice Gerrard. He currently plays with Hindsight\, The Merry Gadflies\, and Stellar Bluegrass with Savage\, Tony Williamson\, and Tommy Goldsmith. \nWebsite

Throughout the last week of April interact with the artist during her residency week as she adds to the exhibition. To create your own felted stone\, head down to the Wilson Education Center on our lower level between 2:00 and 4:00 pm on Saturday. All materials and instructions provided. DESCRIPTION:“Music on the Lawn” at The Inn at Ragged Gardens has become a much beloved outdoor concert series. Held each Friday from May through September (weather permitting)\, the event draws locals and visitors alike. It has grown in popularity over the years and attendance in the hundreds can be expected. A different band is featured every week and performances are from 5:30 until 8:30. A cash bar and lawn menu are available. \nThere is no charge for the concerts and guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and arrive early to secure a spot on the lawn. DESCRIPTION:Explore the mountain after hours with your own personal guides during our Grandfather by Night series! You’ll discover some of the park’s nighttime wonders\, watch a stunning sunset (weather permitting) and experience the mountain as never before! \nThe evening starts atop Grandfather Mountain at the Mile High Swinging Bridge\, where participants can explore and observe sunset from this lofty vantage point. During this time\, park educators will be on hand to discuss the unique flora and crepuscular (active during twilight) fauna that call Grandfather home. \nIn-park transportation is provided. Each Grandfather by Night event is limited to 24 participants. Advance registration is required. Please note: This event is for individuals eight years of age and older. \nThis event is a Grandfather by Night: Twilight Hike. \nThe Twilight Hike version will include a hike after sunset to discuss and look for the creatures that are more active after the sun goes down. The group will explore a unique forest ecosystem from top to bottom in search of salamanders\, owls\, flying squirrels\, fireflies and any other creatures they might come across. The Twilight Hike program is not accessible to guests with limited mobility. Participants signed up for this version will need to participate in the hike\, as staying behind while the rest of the group hikes is not possible. \nWebsite
