The maples in Memorial Park are showing early color, as they typically do. You can see in yesterday’s photo of the slopes around Blowing Rock that color is not yet widespread at this elevation. We still have some time before the real autumn show begins here in town, but these trees are certainly a bright spot on a wet day!
