Fall color continues to creep into the views! Here’s a pretty lane just outside of town, showing a few hints of yellow and russet. This week’s warm weather has indeed slowed the transition. According to Dr. Howard Neufeld, Appalachian State University professor of biology and “Fall Color Guy,” leaf-lookers might look forward to a longer color season than initially expected, perhaps peaking in mid-October in the Boone/Blowing Rock area.
