Downtown Blowing Rock is just beautiful right now. Often, it seems that trees along roadsides and in developed areas show color before those on surrounding hillsides, and the trees in town are certainly demonstrating. Today’s main photo was taken in Memorial Park on Main Street, where plenty of people were out enjoying the mild temperatures and warm colors overhead. As you can see, the maples are really getting a head start. In the immediate area, hues from oaks, tulip poplars, and sassafras are joining in with more consistency.
