Wanderlust Picnics is for the travelers, the wanderers and the originals. Whether you are close by or looking for an escape, we want to help you enjoy the place we call home. We are locally owned and operated out of Blowing Rock, North Carolina. We would love to show you the majestic experience of the high country whether you are looking to relax, enjoy the company of others or celebrating a special moment.
About the Owners
Alysia and Mayra are both enneagram 7s; spontaneous, adventure seeking and fun-loving. We met when our toddlers became good friends at daycare. We both have a passion for entertaining, designing and creating the perfect setting. We love where we live and every little piece of heaven it offers. We are excited to own and operate a company that reflects us as individuals but also shows the adventures that the mountains bring!

A view looking up. See the reflection of the valley trees. A perfect place for easy accessibility, a little people watching and even a little fishing if your heart desires.
Raven's Ridge Overlook
The under-estimated overlook where you can experience panoramic views of the dancing hills. Below, you can see the beauty of the valleys as the sunsets throughout the High Country. These views are meant to be experienced!
Thunder Hill Overlook
Beautiful trails and one of the most beautiful spots to see the overlook and the parkway at the same time. When you're there, you feel like you're in a whole different world, enjoying the views one changing leaf at a time.
Moses Cone Park, Trails & House
Come down to a perfect picnic spot with views of the parkway, beautiful rolling hills and historic stone bridge. Watch journeyers walk by and the horses trot through the expansive trails.
Price Lake & Price Picnic Area
Where the water expands, living on the edge of the parkway. Relax by the reflection of the open water, surrounded by the evergreens and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Or, sit among the trees in the picnic area and listen to the creek flow by.
