Holiday Dining In Blowing Rock

Are you planning to spend your Christmas or New Year holidays in Blowing Rock? The Christmas week is a great time for family celebration. Go skiing or ice skating at Appalachian Ski Mountain, enjoy small town charm in the village, stay in a unique inn or cabin, and take in the crisp winter air and scenes.

The holiday does affect dining hours! Many of our regular restaurants and stores close early on Christmas Eve, and stay closed on Christmas Day. Check below for Open/Closed status for restaurants and eateries in Blowing Rock for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Tips for dining over the holidays

  1. Call ahead to confirm hours! Most restaurants alter their usual hours on holidays.
  2. Make reservations where possible.
  3. Plan ahead: get takeout or pre-made meals to enjoy on Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve:

Timberlake’s at Chetola: Serving a normal breakfast & Prix fixe Menu 5 – 8pm 

Blowing Rock Ale House: Open 11am – 4pm

Myer’s Kitchen & Pantry and Fabled Pizza: Open 11am – 3pm for shopping and market lunch.

Six Pence Pub: Open 11am-9pm. Not taking reservations.

 

Christmas Day:

Timberlake’s at Chetola: Serving a normal breakfast & upscale brunch with carving station 11am – 3pm
