Hat-maker Julia Gaunt will be demonstrating how she adorns her hats with flowers made from wool and ribbon. She will also demonstrate some free motion sewing techniques for writing, drawing, and coloring with thread onto fabric!

The Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra (PRSO) is the leading professional ragtime orchestra in the United States. Under the direction of virtuoso Andrew Greene, PRSO recreates the syncopated stylings of a bygone era - Ragtime, Theater, and Dance music, along with underscoring classic silent films using an immense archive of over 15,000 original orchestral scores.

Mark your calendars for the 2024 Alair Homes High Country Summer Concert Series! Hosted in Downtown Blowing Rock at Memorial Park, this year’s concert series is a food drive for @HungerHealthCoalition’s A Simple Gesture Program.
Jen York will be demonstrating a variety of fiber techniques: shibori dyeing in Indigo; free-motion thread painting and applique for apparel and home décor; and intricate paper cutting and illustration for mixed media artworks.

The annual Valle Country Fair is a sure favorite among locals and visitors. Local food and crafts fill the space, while musicians and demonstrators entertain all day. Admission is free, but bring cash for parking and easy shopping.
The quirky and light-hearted Woolly Worm Festival is an event that you won’t see anywhere else! Enjoy traditional festival fare like crafts, plenty of festival food vendors, and live music, plus the Woolly Worm Wace. Parking around town is available and managed by local non-profits raising money- parking rates vary and cash is accepted at all lots.
