Alexander Hallmark (1949–2021) was an artist and longtime resident of Blowing Rock. Deeply embedded in this community, his career in the studio, though developed later in life, produced many of the works of public art that serve as visual anchors throughout this village and the wider High Country.
Embark on a colorful journey into the world of vibrant landscape painting, where the beauty of nature comes alive on canvas. Led by acclaimed artist Lyudmila Tomova Clark, a.k.a. Lucy, this workshop invites you to explore the dynamic interplay of color, light, and form, as you learn to capture the essence of landscapes with energy and expression.
Youth aged 12-18 are invited to join us at BRAHM every second Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm this fall for directed studio time inspired by famous artists. Explore new styles and processes for making art. Meet new friends and express your creative side. Free for the community. Reservations encouraged.
Come celebrate the artists and poets of ARS POETICA II exhibition! The reception will include an awards ceremony to announce the pairings chosen for the two Judges' Choice Awards as well as the People's Choice Award. Light refreshments will be available.

These small fairs hosted at BRAHM will provide artisans with an opportunity to recover lost revenue and reconnect with the community during the holiday season.
