No partner or experience required. Wear comfortable, low heeled shoes and dress in layers. New dancers are always welcome. We have a New Dancers’ Workshop before each dance.

While strongly associated with European and British Isles traditions, balladry in the Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina and southwestern Virginia reflects a broad range of cultural influences, including roots in and stories connected to African and Native American experiences.

The first concert of the series is held on July 7, 2025 and runs through July 28, 2025. The concerts are located at 173 Lakeside Dr. Blowing Rock, NC 28605 and are set up in the gazebo at Broyhill Park.
