Since moving to Asheville, North Carolina in 2013, Alex has been a mainstay of its thriving and eclectic music community. Highly versatile among a wide variety of genres, his touch, feel, and musical depth have made him one of the most in-demand musicians on the scene.
Renowned for his acting work on stage and screen (the Oscar-nominated film Da 5 Bloods and in Shonda Rhimes’ Scandal), fans of musical theater best know Norm Lewis, the SAG and Tony Award-nominated star, for his booming baritone and the magnetic charisma that has marked every step of his nearly three decades of Broadway excellence.
The first concert of the series is held on July 1, 2024 and runs through July 29, 2024. The concerts are located at 173 Lakeside Dr. Blowing Rock, NC 28605 and are set up in the gazebo at Broyhill Park.
As we celebrate AASF’s 40th anniversary, this series will offer behind-the-scenes discussions with artists from the music, dance, and visual arts worlds that center around a common theme of legacy and longevity.

We will roll at 9am on Saturday, July 20th from the Valle Crucis Community Park, 2892 Broadstone Rd, Banner Elk, NC 28604. Parking is $5 and you can pay at the donation boxes located around the park.
