“Music on the Lawn” at The Inn at Ragged Gardens has become a much beloved outdoor concert series. Held each Friday from May through September (weather permitting), the event draws locals and visitors alike.
Hometown favorite returns to the AppTheatre stage. Adam Church, an Appalachian native, has been pursuing his music career for about 10 years. He grew up in Foscoe, NC, where he found his love for music, listening to the likes of Eric Church which inspired his own dream of pursuing music.

Alexander Hallmark (1949–2021) was an artist and longtime resident of Blowing Rock. Deeply embedded in this community, his career in the studio, though developed later in life, produced many of the works of public art that serve as visual anchors throughout this village and the wider High Country.

Todd Wright, Appalachian State University Jazz Area Coordinator, will take us on a musical journey all about scatting or scat singing. In scat singing, the singer improvises melodies and rhythms using the voice solely as an instrument rather than a speaking medium.
Chris and Dan Brubeck have been making music together practically all their lives. Drummer Dan and bassist, trombonist, and composer Chris cut their first record together in 1966—nearly a half century ago.

Ms. Horn graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, which was attended by other great artists such as Roy Hargrove, Norah Jones, and Erykah Badu. In 2009, she enrolled at The School of Jazz at The New School in New York City.
