The Memorial Day service honors all who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, especially those who hail from Blowing Rock. The service is scheduled at the Gazebo at Memorial Park on Main Street in downtown Blowing Rock.
Take a daily, short, guided stroll at 1 PM that highlights Grandfather Mountain’s rhododendron species and blooms. Included with admission.
Blowing Rock Ale House will begin its live music series for the Summer! The music will be held at the beer garden so it is weather dependent. It will be from 2pm - 5pm.

Blowing Rock Ale House is hosting their annual fundraising event for the Middle Fork Greenway on Memorial Day 1pm-4pm! They will have live music from Midlife Trip, raffles + prizes, and their Greenway IPA — all to support the MFG!
Learn to paint in a relaxed atmosphere, inspired by Barn Above Pond by Wolf Kahn. Each participant goes home with a finished work of art. All materials, including canvases, acrylic paint, brushes, and aprons, are provided.

The Saddlebred classes are loaded with chrome and flash. The atmosphere at a Saddlebred show is electric, with teams shouting encouragement and rooting for their favorites.
The conversation will focus on the Watauga Humane Society’s no-kill mission, their work of caring for more than 1,700 animals each year, and the role the community plays in sustaining the organization.
