The Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra (PRSO) is the leading professional ragtime orchestra in the United States. Under the direction of virtuoso Andrew Greene, PRSO recreates the syncopated stylings of a bygone era - Ragtime, Theater, and Dance music, along with underscoring classic silent films using an immense archive of over 15,000 original orchestral scores.

Alexander Hallmark (1949–2021) was an artist and longtime resident of Blowing Rock. Deeply embedded in this community, his career in the studio, though developed later in life, produced many of the works of public art that serve as visual anchors throughout this village and the wider High Country.

Your High Country Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will conduct a 18th Annual Veterans Day Commemoration at the Boone Mall. The ceremony will include participation of the Watauga Community Band offering a prelude concert commencing at 10:30. At 11:00, Watauga High School Marine Corps JROTC Color Guard will present the Colors.
