Live music is a great way to let loose and relax during your visit in Blowing Rock. Many restaurants feature talented local artists throughout the week. There is entertainment for all to enjoy- no cover for these regular performances!
Town Tavern
The Town Tavern is a downtown sports bar and is within walking distance of many hotels and inns. Sunday through Thursday they are open until midnight and on Friday and Saturday they are open until 2am. Every Friday and Saturday night they have live music on the patio (weather permitting, inside if not). Music is often scheduled on other nights of the week in summer. There is always something going on at the Town Tavern!
The Inn at Ragged Gardens
Every Friday night from May through mid-October, the lawn in front of the Inn at Ragged Gardens is full of music-lovers! As long as weather permits, there’s a free live performance to enjoy at Music on the Lawn. Bring a chair or blanket for the lawn, and enjoy drinks from the cash bar outside. It has become a major summer staple event! Concerts begin at 5:30pm. The full schedule is found on the Inn’s website.
Speckled Trout
The Speckled Trout has a locally-focused menu and relaxed atmosphere. They are open Sunday, Monday, and Thursday until 9pm, and Friday and Saturday until 10pm. Located downtown, they are close to many shops and accommodations. Every Thursday they host local musicians from 6pm to 8pm, outdoors when weather permits. Their line up for the upcoming weeks can be found on their website.
Chetola Resort
Chetola offers live music at their Timberlake Restaurant Wednesdays through Saturdays every week. Featuring performances from local musicians like The Lucky Strikes, Klee Liles, Edward Main, Andy Ferrell and more, Chetola certainly delivers on live music. Advanced reservations are recommended for the Timberlake Restaurant.
Green Park Inn
The Green Park Inn is a legendary location here in Blowing Rock. Restored to its original grandeur, the hotel offers a unique ambiance. Starting at 6pm every Friday and Saturday, Charlie Ellis performs on the piano from 6pm until 9pm in the lobby. He is a local legend in his own right, and his captivating music is sure to make for a very romantic evening. The hotel also presents Music on the Veranda on Sunday evenings in summer. This historic site is a Blowing Rock “must see.”
