Symphony on the Mountain FAQs

With changes to the Symphony venue this year, people are curious about the details. We’ve made a list of FAQs to help create a better picture of how operations are going to run.

Tickets

Q: How do I get tickets?

A: Purchase tickets online by visiting either www.loveblowingrock.com  or  Home – Symphony on the Mountain.

Q: How much do tickets cost?

A: General Admission tickets cost $85 per person until July 1, then they go up to $95 per person. Audiophile tickets cost $165 per person and get you access to a small fenced in section at the front of the orchestra. Audiophile tickets will have reserved seats, shared side tables, a charcuterie box (meats, cheeses, fruits, and olives), two drink tickets, and water. 

Q: How do the new tickets work?

A: Your QR code will be scanned upon entry.  You must have the QR code to enter. Tent patrons will have wrist bands.

Parking

Q: Where can I buy Parking Passes?

A: Parking can be purchased at the same websites as regular tickets. www.loveblowingrock.com  or  Home – Symphony on the Mountain.

Q: How much does Parking Cost?

A: There are two tiers of parking this year. VIP parking costs $35 per vehicle and General Admission Parking costs $25 per vehicle. 

Q: I forgot to buy parking, now what?

A: Cars will not be admitted on the Mountain without a parking pass. Should you decide not to buy a pass you will need to ride the shuttle to the event. 

Q: What if I need handicapped parking?

A: Handicapped parking will be available and there will be golf carts shuttling people from the parking lot to the lawn. If you need wheelchair access, please let the Blowing Rock Chamber know by July 10. Please call 828-295-7851.

Shuttles

Q: Where are the shuttles picking people up?

A: The shuttles will be picking people up at Shoppes on the Parkway, The American Legion Parking Deck, and Blowing Rock Art & History Museum’s parking deck. 

Q: How often will the shuttles run?

A: The shuttles will be making their loop to parking and the venue all evening long. 

Q: Are there shuttles from the parking lot to the venue?

A: Yes, golf cart shuttles will be running from both General Admission and VIP lots. 

Entering the Event

Q: Are there multiple entrances to the event?

A: No, there will be one entrance.

Q: How will I know where to go?

A: There will be signage as well as volunteers helping direct people to their spots. 

Food & Drink

Q: Can I bring a cooler? 

A: Yes! Coolers are still allowed at the event.

Q: What kinds of drinks are allowed?

A: Beer & Wine. Hard liquor is discouraged. 

Q: What food and drink will be for sale?

A: There will be regular and premium charcuterie boards as well as a veggie wrap for sale. There will also be three bars set up selling beer, wine, and a specialty mocktail. 

Important Questions:

Q: Can kids come?

A: Bringing children is allowed but not encouraged as the atmosphere is more adult. Children 7 and under do not require a ticket.

Q: Will there still be fireworks?

A: Absolutely! There will still be a firework finale directly after the Symphony ends. 

Q: What is the bathroom situation?

A: There will be luxury bathroom trailers with AC and running water. 

PSA: The event will be taking place at a higher elevation this year, please bring a light jacket in the event of a cooler breeze.
