Fall Color Update: October 30, 2025

Today’s update is our final one for the 2025 season. While we still have pockets of color here and there, the majority has moved down the mountain to lower elevations.

Fall Color Update: October 24, 2025

The leaves are migrating down from higher elevations and showing off more at lower ones. The fallen leaves have collected and give that satisfying crunch on hikes as well as blow around in the breeze.

It has been another vibrant week here in the NC High Country and we are excited to share our colors with you! This weekend will be the busiest weekend of the season, with fall foliage, the Woolly Worm Festival, Valle Country Fair, and Homecoming at Appalachian State University bringing thousands to visit.
