Blowing Rock’s Concert in the Park Series is an annual set of free outdoor concerts. Always on Sundays following Art in the Park, the performances offer entertainment from a variety of musical genres. Family-friendly and casual! Bring a lawn chair or blanket to Memorial Park on Main Street to enjoy the music- all concerts begin at 4pm.
May 21– Handlebar Betty
Handlebar Betty: Laced with elements of bluegrass, folk, blues, soul and rockabilly, Handlebar Betty creates a unique sound that is dark, driving, and earthy; bringing forth a genuine, soulful and eclectic approach to acoustic/electric music.
June 11- Rastacoustic
Rastacoustic is an Appalachian Reggae group that combines Roots Reggae music with the Appalachian folk style. Their eclectic influences range from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to the Blue Mountains of Jamaica creating a one of a kind musical experience. Rastacoustic is made up of Peter Brown and Justin Butler, two well-seasoned musicians that have collectively performed all across America, Canada, and Japan.
July 16- Ashley Heath
Original soul americana music would best describe Ashley Heath. Raised in the foothills of Appalachia, she has developed a strong passion for country, blues, and folk music. In March of 2015, Heath decided to go full time into singing and playing music, quit her part time job as a barista in downtown Asheville, and recorded her first album “A Different Stream”. The album was recorded at the amazing Echo Mountain Recording Studios in Asheville, NC with producer Ryan Burns and engineer Clay Miller.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) is the world’s largest not-for-profit songwriters trade association. Established in 1967, the membership of more than 5,000 active and professional members spans the United States and foreign countries. NSAI is dedicated to protecting the rights of and serving aspiring and professional songwriters in all genres of music.

Shelby Rae Moore is a phenomenon! At barely twenty years of age, she has been wowing audiences for years with her voice, style, poise, stage presence and repertoire.Having grown up in a musical family, she began singing at a very early age and has evolved into a seasoned professional. She has the uncommon ability to move effortlessly between genres including blues, rock, country, bluegrass and pop. Her influences range from Jerry Reed to Bonnie Raitt to Etta James to Adele.
