Today’s view is from King Street in Boone, just west of downtown. The maples in Boone have been especially vibrant this year, featuring hues from scarlet and coral to amber and gold. A bit further toward Vilas, this slope above a Christmas Tree farm is showing warm tones as the foliage there reaches peak color.
