Just south of the Boone’s Trace Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, this view rolls out across a pasture. There is a wooded area that provides an beautiful show of fall color right along the roadside. These photos were taken in the afternoon. It’s clear that Tuesday’s wind had an effect on the foliage density. In this particular location, there are still a number of oaks that have not yet donned their autumn finery.
