Founded in 1996 as a 501c3, our mission has been focused on restoration of single parent families. A faith based ministry, New Direction has offered professional Christian counseling, Legal representation for protective custody of children, Financial assistance, Financial budgeting, and Restorative retreats. It is not an emergency crisis ministry but a long-term relational ministry.

COMMUNITY CARE CLINIC

The Community Care Clinic was established in 2006, in response to a growing number of uninsured in our community. It is estimated that over 4,000 adults in Watauga County will remain uninsured in spite of the Affordable Care Act. Our clinic is located in the Hannah Building (the former Health Department) off of Bamboo Road.

DYLAN'S HEARTS

We have two main goals: Mitigate unnecessary pain & suffering in animals who can’t access emergency veterinary treatment due to owners’ financial limits. Assist owners in making animal care decisions based on needs of the animal, not financial limits, helping reduce unnecessary euthanasia.

Our mission is to relieve poverty & hunger in a compassionate manner for families & individuals experiencing economic hardship & food shortages. Over 200 adoptable cats, dogs, guinea pigs & bunnies. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccination, microchip & more! A 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making the lives of pets better in Watauga County through sheltering, low-cost spay/neuter & education.
