LEMONADE FOR CHANGE

Blowing Rock resident, Atlas Brown, started Lemonade for Change in 2021 at the age of eight. She is passionate about ending homelessness in her community and creating brighter futures for the families whose lives she impacts through Lemonade for Change. 100% of the profits from lemonade sales go toward creating brighter futures for Watauga County's homeless through education, mental health treatment, addition treatment, and financial counseling. NEW DIRECTION MUSTARD SEED

Our mission has been focused on restoration of single parent families. COMMUNITY CARE CLINIC

The Community Care Clinic was established in 2006, in response to a growing number of uninsured in our community. It is estimated that over 4,000 adults in Watauga County will remain uninsured in spite of the Affordable Care Act. Our clinic is located in the Hannah Building (the former Health Department) off of Bamboo Road.

DYLAN'S HEARTS

We have two main goals: Mitigate unnecessary pain & suffering in animals who can’t access emergency veterinary treatment due to owners’ financial limits. Assist owners in making animal care decisions based on needs of the animal, not financial limits, helping reduce unnecessary euthanasia.

Our mission is to support patients, survivors & their families in the High Country. Through events like our Walk/Run for Breast Cancer, we raise funds that are awarded as scholarships to local women & men fighting breast cancer. An all-volunteer foundation whose funds remain in the community.

Quiet Givers Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to serve the people of the North Carolina High Country - covering Watauga, Ashe, and Avery counties. It is a source for people to find out about specific needs in the community and do something about them. Area nonprofits, social workers, schools and other community organizations send us needs that they are having trouble meeting through existing funds or programs, and we crowdsource the funding from anonymous donors. Our connection to the local community allows us to meet needs in creative ways in order to change the reality of local people who are genuinely struggling. Quiet Givers, Inc. offers you a real look into the lives of High Country locals and offers a chance to make a difference by helping with a specific need or getting ideas for bigger projects to help our community. Over 200 adoptable cats, dogs, guinea pigs & bunnies. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccination, microchip & more!
