The trees in town are just starting to show some seasonal colors. There are several showing vibrant red and gold, which pops against yellow-green. Blowing Rock’s elevation is around 3600 feet, and peak color is still several days away at this elevation. Similar displays can be seen in Boone right now, where many maples through town are turning a firey red, but most leaves are still green for now.

Today’s featured image was taken from Davant Field on Clark Street. The field is set up for both soccer and softball, and has a track around the outside of the fence. The gazebo is a great spot to enjoy some takeout at a picnic table. Davant Field is connected to Broyhill Park via a walking path, which continues around the lake and connects to sidewalks and a stairway to downtown. Here are a few more views from the parks today:
