Early signs of fall are everywhere around town! Foliage color is filling in, and views on Main Street and in local parks are getting more vibrant each day.

Broyhill Park early fall in Blowing Rock

Broyhill Park
Elevation 3530 feet

The walk around Broyhill Park was especially pretty today. Maple trees and burning bush shrubs are showing the most color right now, and the view is sure to be even more colorful in another week or so. Several of the large maples in Memorial Park are showing full color, getting a head start on most of the other trees at Blowing Rock’s elevation. The same is true along Main Street, where fall-blooming flowers like cosmos and blushing hydrangeas add their own hues to the scene.
